McFarlane Toys Unveils New Figures: Lilith, Doom Slayer, and More at IGN Live 2025

Exciting Announcements from McFarlane Toys at IGN Live 2025

In a special edition of IGN’s Up at Noon, McFarlane Toys’ Brian Walters, the Director of Brand Creative, sat down with hosts Max Scoville and Brian Altano to reveal some of the company’s latest projects and upcoming figures. Fans can look forward to a new series called the Elite Edition, starting with highly detailed and collectible figures inspired by popular video games.

The Elite Edition Series: Combining Detail and Innovation

Walters explained that the goal of the Elite Edition line is to produce “highly decorated, super detailed, and iconic versions of characters from the gaming universe.” These figures stand out thanks to their intricate design, including the use of soft goods—such as the fur cloak on the Doom Slayer—and new materials that McFarlane has incorporated for the first time. This approach elevates the realism and display quality of each figure, making them perfect for collectors seeking premium quality.

Doom Slayer and Lilith: Accessories and Pre-Order Details

The first figure in the Elite Edition lineup is Doom Slayer from Doom: The Dark Ages. This figure boasts an impressive array of accessories, including the Pulveriser hammer, a flail, a combat shotgun, and a shield saw. Walters described it as “a really great first item for the Elite Edition.” Although pre-orders for the Doom Slayer are currently sold out, the figure will soon be available at major retailers like Walmart and GameStop. Fans can also expect to see some monstrous enemies to go head-to-head with Doom Slayer in future releases.

Meanwhile, Lilith from Diablo IV just became available for pre-order today, coinciding with the IGN Live event. This highly anticipated figure features multiple interchangeable facial expressions and accessories, including articulated wings and a soft PVC tail for dynamic posing. Williams emphasized that the goal was to “hold nothing back” with Lilith, ensuring it’s packed with detail and functionality.

Balancing Design and Functionality in Collectible Figures

Creating a figure like Lilith posed unique challenges, according to Williams. The key was to strike a balance between faithfully executing the character’s design and making the toy functional for collectors and enthusiasts. “The hardest part was engineering the figure without compromising the look of Lilith,” he explained. This careful craftsmanship ensures the figure remains true to the character while still being poseable and durable.

Upcoming Projects: Fallout Power Armor and Mortal Kombat Classics

Looking ahead, McFarlane Toys has teased a new Power Armor figure from the Fallout universe. Unlike previous figures based on the TV series, this will be the first articulated Power Armor from the game itself. Williams hinted that fans can expect more surprises in this line, promising exciting developments in the near future.

Additionally, the company revealed two figures from their upcoming Mortal Kombat Classics line. One standout is a boxed Sub-Zero figure featuring retro arcade-style packaging, complete with joystick controls on the box art, as well as the original character select screen and biography on the back. These nostalgic touches aim to appeal to both new fans and longtime collectors alike.
